FernEd NZ Pvt Ltd ("FernEd", "we", "us") provides study abroad counselling, nursing registration support, and skill and language training. We have offices in Kannur and Ernakulam, Kerala, India, and in New Zealand. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use this website, contact us, or use our services.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to help you.

• Enquiry details: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, highest qualification, and the countries and services you are interested in.
• Application details (if you become our student or candidate): passport, academic transcripts and certificates, English or German test results, CV, statement of purpose, financial and loan documents, and visa-related information.
• Messages: what you share with us by phone, WhatsApp, email or social media.
• Website usage: basic technical data such as device, browser and pages visited, collected through cookies and analytics tools.

How we use your data

• To call or message you back about your enquiry.
• To recommend courses, universities, programmes and destinations.
• To prepare and submit applications, language test and visa documents on your behalf.
• To run our language and skill training classes.
• To send you updates about intakes and programmes. You can opt out at any time.
• To improve our website and measure our advertising.
• To meet legal and regulatory requirements.

Your consent

When you submit our enquiry form or contact us, you agree that we may use your details for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. This will not affect anything we did before you withdrew, but we may not be able to continue your application.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only when needed to provide our services, or when the law requires it:

• Universities, colleges, training institutes and employers you are applying to.
• Language testing bodies, visa application centres and immigration authorities.
• Education loan providers, if you ask us to help with a loan.
• Service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, our CRM, WhatsApp and email tools. They may only use your data to provide services to us.
• Government or law enforcement bodies, when required by law.

Transfers outside India

Because we help you study and work abroad, your data will be shared with institutions and authorities in your destination country, and with our New Zealand office. We share only what each application needs.

Students under 18

Many students contact us before finishing Plus Two. If you are under 18, we need consent from your parent or guardian before we process your personal data, and we will involve them in counselling and applications.

How long we keep it

We keep your details only for as long as we need them to help you, or as long as the law requires. After that we delete them.

How we protect it

We use reasonable security measures, including access controls and secure systems, to protect your data. Only staff who need your information to help you can access it. No system is completely secure, so please also keep your own documents and passwords safe.

Cookies and analytics

Our website may use cookies and tools such as Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 where it applies, you can:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or update it.
• Ask us to delete it, unless we must keep it by law.
